Welcome y’all, stay awhile!  Southern Roots Living was incubated and brought to life by my passion for interior design. I enjoyed working in both business and education but after grad school, the creative side of me was begging to come out. Eventually, I had the idea of starting the business of helping others create their home sweet home!

I embraced living in New York and Arizona for a time, but as a native to The Woodlands, TX, I also knew at some point, I would go back to my roots. This place is truly idyllic for raising a family, so it's no surprise it was voted the best place to live. After marrying my fellow longhorn Kyle, we had the amazing opportunity to buy the home I grew up in...but we needed it to function better for us.

 

So with our first daughter on the way, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work by completely renovating the home that would continue to make so many wonderful childhood memories.  This ignited my spark for design that I knew was always there. With the encouragement of my husband, friends, and family; I took that leap of faith and am feeling truly blessed to get to to do this for a living.

We eventually needed more space and bought another fixer-upper in The Woods with more square footage so I'm sharing those updates along the way. In addition to being wife to Kyle, I am a proud mom to two wildflowers and a GSP fur baby. I also enjoy playing golf, watching football, traveling and backyard movies with friends and family!
